La menopausa non è la fine di qualcosa. È l'inizio della tua seconda primavera.
Strength, mobility and balance for life
Yoga Conditioning is a whole-body class designed to help you become stronger, stay active and feel better. Now and as you get older.
Inspired by Dr Vonda Wright's F.A.C.E.* approach to healthy ageing, or healthgevity, the class brings together the different ways our bodies need to move and train:
Flexibility & mobility + Aerobics + Carry a weight + Equilibrium (balance)
*FACE is an exercise framework developed by orthopaedic surgeon and healthy-ageing expert Dr Vonda Wright

A different kind of yoga class
Each class combines:
F - Flexibility & mobility
Yoga, mobility and functional movement to maintain range of motion.
A - Aerobic
Short bursts of cardio to challenge your heart and lungs. And have fun!
C - Carry a load
Resistance bands, dumbbells and bodyweight work to build strength.
E - Equilibrium
Balance, stability and coordination to keep you moving confidently.
And because recovery matters too, we bring it all back down with yoga, breathwork, and relaxation.

Why it works
Yoga Conditioning brings together cardio, resistance training, mobility, balance and recovery because our bodies need all of them.
-
Strength work helps maintain muscle and support bone health
-
Cardio challenges the heart and lungs
-
Mobility and Balance keep us moving confidently
-
Breathwork and Relaxation support recovery and help regulate the nervous system
It's not about pushing yourself to exhaustion or becoming an athlete. It's about building a stronger, more active body for the years ahead.

Who this is for
Anyone who wants to get stronger, move better, and invest in their long-term health.
Yoga Conditioning is for women and men of all ages and fitness levels, whether you already practise yoga, or are simply looking for a more rounded way to stay active.
The class evolved from my Menopause Yoga teaching, where maintaining muscle and bone strength, cardiovascular fitness, mobility and balance are particularly important. But these things matter to all of us as we get older — and the best time to work on them is before we start to lose them.
Beginners are very welcome. You don’t need to be flexible, strong or experienced to start. I offer modifications throughout the class so you can work at a level that feels appropriate for your body.

What to expect
We move between yoga and mobility, strength work with dumbbells and resistance bands, balance exercises and short bursts of cardio with music, elastic bands and a healthy dose of fun (a disco ball is still under consideration).
We work hard, but we also know when to slow things down.
Every class finishes by bringing the energy back down with breathwork and a guided relaxation - a firm favourite!
What to bring
Bring your yoga mat, a pair of dumbbells and water.
Resistance bands and other props are provided.
You don’t need fancy equipment, just weights that feel manageable for you. If you’re unsure what weight to bring, get in touch and I’ll happily advise.
