Yoga for stress relief, anxiety and overwhelm
In essence, yoga is a way to slow everything down for a bit.

When we’re stressed, the body stays slightly on edge. Breathing gets shallow, shoulders creep up, the mind keeps ticking over even when we’re trying hard to stop it.
In class, we gently guide things the other way:

we slow the breath down
-
we breathe more mindfully
-
we move
-
we hold positions, training the mind to stay with the breath
-
and we properly switch off
And this is where the shift happens, moving the body out of “fight or flight” and into a calmer, more balanced state.
Often it’s the only moment in the week where you’re not rushing or thinking about what’s next.

And that’s why people walk out feeling lighter, calmer… a bit more like themselves again.
Those big sighs after savasana? They just happen, when everything finally lets go and you’re simply there, in the moment.
